Gisou is the brand launched by fashion blogger Negin Mirsalehi. Based on her family history with beekeeping she started a line of hair products inspired by childhood memories of her mother's recipes made with her dad's honey. Used to the compliments about her hair she thought she could share her big secret with the world by creating products made following her own recipes. The brand is based in Netherlands, the key ingredients to the products are the Mirsalehi honey and propolis. All products are of course cruelty free. They range from 30€ to 70€ (more or less).
The first product they developed was the Honey Infused Oil (1) which has various uses: from pre-styler and finisher, to overnight treatment. They then launched the Propolis Infused Heat Protector (2) to prevent damage caused by blow-drying, heat styling and the sun. The Texturizing Wave Spray (3) followed closely, a product also infused with propolis, made to create texture in your hair. Then came the first hairstyling tool: the Texture Comb (4), an all purpose tool for styling your hair. The last product came out a few weeks ago, it's a Honey Infused Hair Mask Treatment (5), to hydrate and moisturizer.

Taking care of curly hair can be quite challenging, and today we are here to give you some tips for healthy curly hair.
First of all, you need to know which type of curly hair you have. Because one curl patterns does not make the other and you need to adapt your hair routine and styling to it. You can roam the internet for quizz if you need help to determine your hair type. Second thing, you should trade your usual towel to a tee-shirt when you dry your hair. A tee-shirt is less absorbent, so you have less risks of breaking hair, and it will reduce the frizz. The, washing-wise, you should know that less is more. You should use smaller amount of products. Some people also use the co-washing technique, where they only use conditionner and no shampoo. You can also start conditioning from the bottom when you wash it. Throw away your brushes and opt for wide-toothed combs instead. It will lessen the damage made on your curls. You can also try detangling brushes. When you dry your hair, try using a diffuser. It will minimize the frizz by diffusing the heat. Another tip, condition when you go to the gym. Before you go to the gym, apply a styling cream to your hair and then put it up into a bun. The time and the heat from your body will allow the moisture to set in. Use products from the same brand, they are made to work best together. You can also humidify your home with a humidifier, and try sleeping on satin pillowcases. That's all for today, hope you will find these tips useful guys. |
